Was looking at the AMD build. Very interesting
My only problem right now is I only have the 400$ needed for my new Case/Graphic Card/Power Supply.... I think the Motherboard/Processor will come later.

As long as you look at getting a motherboard that can socket the chips you want to upgrade to, you'll be fine. IMO the best investment you can make is a good case. There's nothing in the world worse than having all your great stuff stuck in a box that is really hard to get around inside of.
What power supply do you have?
The 270(x) is a good choice, or GTX 760. I would say try to find one 2nd hand, one from ebay.
Can you oc that CPU? At least to 3.2GHz, that will give you a small boost.
Where are you located at, EU or US?
Very cool stuff !
For myself I'm getting the Coolermaster HAF 922 case. around 100$
Graphic card I spoke of above. around 220$
A 600W Power supply for now. around 75$
That's all I can afford for now, But your recommandations are appreciated and I'm looking at the Motherboards and Processors for later. I'm looking on the web right now im very enthusiastic about learning all these "building PC" things
The case I'm getting : Coolermaster HAF 922

Looks good to me. I use Coolermaster & Silverstone cases, I've nothing but praise for both.
Motherboard & CPU, definitely worth hanging on a bit - the new generation will be out announced soon.
One thing, don't get a no-brand PSU, they can be the cause of all sorts of nightmares. Corsair PSU's are well priced and have good thermals... shop around, read hardware site reviews
just remember hardware site reviews will always be biased towards whichever company sponsors them, unless you can find honest side by side reviews
I'm from Quebec, Canada
My friend told me to Overclock my CPU would be a little tricky because my bios is a bit old :S
And I'm looking to buy this Power Supply (around 75$ would be good cause I only need that 600W for now) :
what your missing the site of is this, yes you can upgrade here and there but as long as your processor is as old as yours is you are going to have problems and it will end up costing you MORE later than it will if you just back up and stop and save another 200 bux and then buy it all. honestly with as old as your CPU is I dont recommend you buying anything until you can afford to upgrade ALL of it
example you buy a 600 watt PSU now and as soon as you go to upgrade you will have to buy another 750 watt PSU you might as well wait and buy the 750 watt psu later NOW I am gonna be nice and I am going to show you something really amazing

believe it or not this is an amazing PSU for the price, I have been running several in my customers rigs AND they have excellent customer service out of 23 that I have bought only ONE was bad and they replaced it promptly no questions asked
It can be the case - avoid networks. Tom's Hardware is a good starting ground, independent and reliable.

Look for GTX GF660 or better, there are plenty around depending on your location. Try Newegg.com
I recommend shopping at 3 different places....price them all Newegg Tigerdirect and Amazon, all 3 are extremely reputable dealers who cover their producs, EBAY I dont trust or rely on, not when buying computer parts
Yes this is the site I plan on buying my stuff
Check this site for an easy price comparison http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/
r9 270x is a good gpu, they use modern chipset compared with r9 280x (280x is a rebrand) ... U can also have mantle and u can easily CF it, is a very cheap and strong gpu... They are the best for bitcoin hunting too.
but I believe your cpu will bottleneck, but who knows, u can try it and see how it goes.
My 4 year old PC still plays the game on Ultra. Its a core i7 3.2 Ghz, 12 GB of RAM, SSD and a GTX470.
Please don't listen to the guy that sound Asus has not been good for a long time. They're in the top 3 780 Ti cards available on the market.
I also would add don't buy GPU's off of ebay, espeically if they are used. People were using them in bitcoin miners which ran them at basically full load all the time and then sold them on ebay when ASIC bitcoin miners came out. A lot of them have had way more use than a normal GPU would have and probably won't last very long.
I also got this card http://www.asus.com/Graphics_Cards/GTX780DC2OC3GD5/
I am happy with it

This is what I would put money on right now. If you're upgrading getting anything less is pointless. In time you'll have money to upgrade to a better CPU and so on. The GTX 760 is more or less on par with a GTX 670. It's plenty enough for ultra settings in ESO.
OC that cpu if you can.
Poisonivy where do you get your "knowledge" from??
You wrote in one of your first responses since he will be buying a new case and psu he will need a new CPU. Why? I dont see the necessity of a new processor because of a new case, really...
the processor may be dated, but its definately not the limiting factor, in my opinion. and its not the few ghz increase that matters, its the ipc increase in the newer architectures that makes the difference.
further, you reccommend 2x1 TB harddrives. I honestly would not reccoment nowadays only mechanical drives. If you reccomend, why not 250GB SSD + 1 TB HD?? Just makes more sense, you will get the biggest performance increase from the SSD where you would run the OS + Games on...
And the Asus 270 will run this game just fine - i have a GTX780 which is oc'ed to 1280 Ghz and its pure overkill.
a performance config i would reccomend (without focus on overclocking), and with your selected GFX card

It does cost you a grand in total, but its a solid build in my opinion.
I am sorry but that case has very poor airflow the Apevia cases are the same exact price and FAR FAR superior, words cannot describe how superior these cases are, the only thing I can tell you is get one and try it out and if you arent satisfied then send it back for a refund and NO I dont work for Apevia
BTW not sure how Asus is in the top 3... you do realize that review site numbers are only based on the people they review right? Gigabyte and EVGA are definetly by far two of the best companies out there when it comes to graphics cards, where they rank exactly I have no clue but I would definetly put them at the top, Asus just is not as good, their chipsets have issues, they run hot, and they tend to fail a lot sooner than either gigabyte or evga chipsets especially if your talking CPU or GPU, and ASUS motherboards have not been relevant for many years
Hi OP,
Your GPU will be able to run TESO fine. The CPU will most of the time be fine too, but MAY be a bit underpowered in mass PVP fights. I can't make any 100% sure statements on that though.
There are some things to check though:
- Is the card able to run in pci-e 3.0 mode? It seems like you have an outdated motherboard. If it is not able to run in 3.0 mode and has to run in 2.0 or even 1.1 mode, it might not reach its full potential. Check this by installing the GPU-Z utility and running the test by clicking on the "?" next to PCI-E mode (cards will automatically run in 1.0/1.1 mode when not used to save power, so you have to stress the card to see in what mode it can run).
- Can your PSU run your 270x? It will need about 150watt in total. This means a bare minimum of 13A (ampere) to the GPU alone. As most PSU's have an efficiency of about 80%, you are safer off with 188W or 16A for the GPU alone.
And one thing to keep in mind:
It seems that ESO is at this moment better optimized for Nvidia than for AMD. Future AMD drivers will probably solve this though.
