Buying season pass after release?

Post » Wed Dec 02, 2015 5:40 am

Does anyone know if the season pass will be available to buy after the game launches.

Im interested in buying it but, its a matter of principle not preordering DLC. I would be disappointed if I had to purchase each piece of DLC separately because I know I would just skip the DLC.

I think most games that do a season pass leave it up at least till every DLC is released.

Yep, as above poster stated.. that's how they've worked in the past. I don't expect that to change. I hold off on buying season passes until the first dlc is released so I can make up my mind then.

Depending on current status of my account on Monday when the budget amount is pulled from my spending account I plan on getting the season pass if i have enough wiggle room had some large medical prescription bills I did not count on.

I just hope Bethesda knows what there doing, the Destiny Season Pass was god awful and it expired before any good dlc came out for that game. I haven't met a single person who was happy with that purchase.

No word on the seasonal pass expiring, but I assume it will after the last DLC is published.

Typically how these things work is you spend like $30 and they give you content over a course of time that will be normally worth $40, so even if you don't buy the pass, you're really only spending about $10 more than everyone else.

Destiny did that and included the worst DLCs, yeah.

Definitely the first one I've heard of.

I seriously doubt Fallout 4 does that. Beth has confirmed the season pass will include all DLCs and quality of them will likely be high.

A lot of other games still sell season passes, even long after the release of a "complete version" of the game.

Yup, Borderlands 2 still has it's season pass for sale on Steam as an example. There's more than a few other games that still have them up long after the last DLC has dropped. Arkham Origins, Black Ops 2, Assassin's Creed III and IV, Moto GP 2014 and quite a few others.

And o an earlier point, yeah, never heard of a season pass expiring.

I Pre-Ordered my Fo4 + Season Pass (was a good deal).

The description reads:

Allows you to play all future released DLCs and additional content.

(translated from german into english)

And due the fact Bethesda is Bethesda, and this is Fallout it's a must have to buy.

Or pay $20 for every DLC later on ;).

I'm the same way when it comes to preorders, especially dlc, seasons pass... I bought mine the day it was announced ;-) FO3 had 5. All 10 bucks a pop. All worth 20 ! I'm pretty sure this is going to be the best "bang for your buck" ever.
