C0DA: Open Source Universe?

Post » Sat Feb 15, 2014 12:46 pm

MK was asking us to submit our own c0das, an idea I am interested in, but I honestly don't understand what he means. He said C0DA was a template, but it doesn't look like one to me. The closest thing I can think of is continuing from the end, where "the first of the Nu-Men" was born. Can I get some thoughts on this?

Write however you want about whatever you want. Accept whatever you like from wherever you choose.

(For my part, I don't find this to be a new concept; I think it's always been in effect to one degree or another. Be it writings about TES actual or whatever new dream you think there is, if you even think there's a new dream at all.)

You already started doing it yourself!

Write something about how mankind survived. It's all legit if you say it is.

I'm just trying to figure out what this supposed "template" is supposed to be. Is the Nu-Men an Amaranth? Or is it a matter of "Fill in the blanks with whatever you want"?

It's kind of like asking someone to play a game without telling us what the rules are. I'd love to, but I can't if I don't know what I'm doing.

Could always make up the rules. Or even a whole new game.

My point is that we would greatly benefit from some structure if we're going to start making answers. For example, I'd love for their to be some place where we can store our own answers to the questions. That way we wouldn't have to go through the hassle of clicking through forum pages and such. A place to store all of our c0das, if you will.

That would have to be the C0DA in this story.

Our bloodline is registered by C0DA. House Sul is registered by C0DA. Our C0DAs are gonna be registered by C0DA, too.

Let's step out of our Watsonianism for a moment and discuss this Doyalistically.

I'm sure an answer to what you are seeking will eventually appear. Teslore's Apocrypha section is close enough, though.

Thank you. Now, I suppose we should get to thinking.

As WE all start our new journeys in the new Elder Scrolls, WE find it helpful to set up outposts along the way to trade stories and refine crafting skills. Right now, my particular hub is http://www.tomorrowindtoday.com, but it's still in the brainstorming phase (and, hell, a fun place to talk about Jubal, Hir, and the rest of the cast).
