Cabot house : Fallout 4

I'm at Level 50 now, and only a third of the map discovered. Enjoying every minute, and in no rush to finish.

I have 4 settlements built, quite adequate for my settlers. But During my missions I have been looking for a more luxurious pad for myself

Having finished the cabot house mission, I seem to have free run of that beautiful house. Everything is green there now. Except the beds which are still red. And the two inhabitants just ignore me as I walk about the house.

Problem is that there is no facility there to craft beds or change anything.

Will I come accross any other good quality homes on my travels? I think I'm getting lumbago from living in my ramshackle creations.

And I can dismiss piper, and send her to any of the settlements we have visited. But I cant seem to find a way to send her back to Diamond city, to take care of her little sister, or her reporting job.

Why is that?

I accidentally sent her back to DC when I was swapping companions. It came up with the list of settlements but I exited out of that menu (O on ps4 controller) and she automatically went back to her newspaper in dc.

I'd love to be able to do that place up as well...and that story line, loved it.

If you ever send someone to a settlement even once they will never go home. I noticed if you never send them to one of your settlements they return to their original spot.

I'm trying to avoid sending Curie anywhere and she stays at Vault 81. You just have to exit out of the 'Where do you want to send them' options.

It makes no flipping sense, I want everyone back to their original spots, especially Valentine, except maybe Strong who you find in a place infested by enemies.

I do wish that we could build anywhere. I'd like my shack in the woods and underground bunker 500ft NE from the location.....but yea. Keeping an eye on this to see if there are other nice locations. And Piper is a free spirit; Only she can decide her fate.
