But on to Caesar.
Evidence for:
- You'd expect a wasteland leader of his stature and morality to have assembled a harem. Eulogy Jones, the leader of the slavers in Fallout 3, has two female six slaves. Even The King has his groupies. Yet what do you find in Caesar's tent? Nothing but men.
- The historical Caesar had certain rumours abounding about his sixuality, his political enemies stating that he had a relationship with the King of Nicomedia and his engineer. While unfounded, it's something for Edward Sallow to relate to in the great man if he himself is homosixual.
- His relationship with Arcade if the latter is sold out by The Courier. Caesar is said to have been 'fond' of him, and even mourned him for months. Human life means little to Caesar - yet the death of Arcade moves him. Mourning the loss of an intellectual sparring partner, or something more?
- There is no mention at all, even by Joshua Graham when asked of early days, of any kind of female romantic interest.
Evidence against:
- No Confirmed Bachelor dialogue. Then again, The Courier may not be Caesar's type.
- The lack of interest in women does not necessarily mean he is homosixuality. For all we know, he has a wife like the historical Caesar or be asixual.
- Homosixuality is punishable by death in the Legion, according to the aforementioned prosttute.
For me it's...inconclusive. Why does it matter? It doesn't really, but Caesar is an interesting character. I think it's probably that he's intended to be asixual, his only passion being for power.
