Caesar's Legion vs. The Midwestern Brotherhood

Caesars legion on the move would need to feed itself from the land a large army needs food and water, basically were looking at an old style army with troops and baggage train, plus these guys are not well armed or armoured they have lots of troops again a failing for them because all you need to do is to deny them food and water, small groups of bos doing hit and run raids on a legion would take huge toll over time, plus they would have casualties along the way trying to force march troops across open country, this isnt europe durig the time of the roman conquests, its a land decimated after a nuclear war, and honestly if they had that sherman tank mobile, it would steamroll the whole army.

Why bother, just deploy a few behemoths in front of the CL and Legion gets machine gunned. After that, dagger squad deals with any remaining CL forces.

Yeah i was just giving a simple practical overview, basically if they had behemoths it would be a joke, i understand why Caesars legion exists i was skeptical at first and thought this is a joke but had a serious thought, and basically i can see groups of desperate people joining a large group plus the intimidation factor, but without serious armour and weapons they dont stand a chance weight of number or not against well armed and armoured troops.

I don't know if that would work out for them in the long run ironically. If it really stretches from Chicago to Wyoming then pretty much the Brotherhood can't have any significant presence in any of the communities it has. California is one of the largest and most populated places in the Fallout universe (if not THE largest) and the travel times between its locations are TREMENDOUS without railroads. Even the relatively short distance between the Mojave and California is something that virtually cripples the organization and NCR is probably the most powerful organization in the Fallout universe.

Midwestern Brotherhood have vehicles they make good use of them. They train people to repair and maintain them. My theory is they use fuel made from corn.

The Legion would either be crushed in the first attack or go onto a "World War 1 Stalemate".

The problem would be:

An army marches on its stomach

The Legion wouldn't be able to fight against the MWBoS, who have the allies on their hands (MWBoS, Oppressors? Yes. But slavers attacking you?). The Legion couldn't, or wouldn't commit to a long term war.
