I'm having a problem with the quest Blood on the Ice. When I try to go talk to Calixto, his house is (Master) locked at all hours! I can't talk to him.

I have talked to Viola first if that changes anything. But I read somewhere that the Amulet is bugged so I wanted to sell it.

he runs a store east of the gate, if that;s locked during legal open hours (Day) try breaking in sometimes doors lock when they shouldn't and you won't get into trouble.

I know that, but the problem is that when I try to enter he starts the trespassing dialogue and calls the guards!

it is a pretty bugged quest. maybe just let the guards get you, that might help but i don't know i never had This specific problem before. i also don't know about the amulet being bugged. I'd just play around some, you may figure it out

Also, if I trespass and then leave, if a wait an hour, it will be master locked again.

Actually, wait until 5PM-7PM, he leaves to go to the inn. Catch up to him there, be sure to sell him the amulet because if you don't, it will stay in your inventory forever

Actually I solved the problem by picking the lock to his house, getting picked up by the guards and paying the five gold bounty. After that his shop is open, you can take the tour and talk to him and he remains open during the quest.

This has to be the worst implemented quest in the game. I always have trouble with him at his shop. I read on the uesp, that you just have to wait until he goes to the inn as its a part of the schedule.

Last time I did it, it came out flawlessly. I let the blacksmith girl die though. I finally had enough of her [censored].
