I've set this post up to have another rant about how call of duty have yet again copied Crysis for their new Ghosts game. In this post you will find a list of what they say is "new", but was actually copied, a list of things they only just found out existed, a comparison between facial graphics and the C3 tech trailer and COD Ghosts reveal trailer.
So here we go.
The "new" stuff:
Infinity ward say that there will be "Amazing graphic fidelity"
You should apparently be more emotionally attached to characters (same thing Crytek said about Psycho)
Story will open with mass event ( Nano dome in the case of C3)
"devastated military" (basically there is almost nothing left of the military)
Fighting against superior forces (CELL in C3 )
Ghost team, a group of whatever is left of the US special forces. Ring a bell? The Crysis 3 rebels
Tsunami. (a tsunami ripped through NYC in C2 )
Stuff they only just found out existed:
Automatic ledge grab
Sliding
Being able to lean out of cover and fire in the campaing
Fluid dynamics (realistic looking liquids basically)
Interactive smoke (smoke that swirls around you as you move through it)
Fish that move out of the way when you swim to them (Even C1 hadn this)
Volumetric lighting
Self occurring shadows
Dynamic maps (maps that get destroyed and stay like that for the rest of the match)
