Call for non-equivalent quest rewards

So I enjoy my RPGs feeling as real as possible, and let's be honest 'real life' isn't generally very fair. In open world RPGs the devs often feel the need to let people who choose 'path A' get rewards 1a, 2a, and 3a; while those choosing 'path B' get rewards 1b, 2b, and 3b. The difference basically amounts to having a spouse with black hair, a magic fire staff, and a castle in the mountains or a blond spouse, a fire sword, and a castle in the plains.

I just wanted to promote some radical diversity in quest rewards (and the world reaction to you after a quest). Rewards that are not necessarily equivalent, but are each specifically helpful to characters in the guild and faction that are getting them.

So in a civil war situation, perhaps siding with one side takes you in as family, you can marry a Duke/Duchess which gets you a Dukeship where you get to do a little estate planning and build up a strong hold (as in Morrowind). Instead of making the other side reward you with the same thing but with different style, make the other faction not even consider making you a noble. Instead they make you captain of the guard and reward you with their unique flying mount and they send you on missions that wouldn't exist on the other side.

And I'm saddened when people respond, "No I want to be able to do it all (and get all rewards) in one playthrough", because when you can do it all in one playthrough then our choices mean so much less. Kill the King and you become a Duke. Defend the King and you become a Duke. It's just two paths to the same place, which is better than one path, but still not nearly as interesting or as fun as paths to different places.

I like the idea of more reactions to my exploits, probably something radiant story will use.

I enjoy different rewards for my actions instead of having different means to the same end. I still believe the existing reward system should still be used as a base. After all, you help a king, but your a notorious criminal, they might still reward you with something, but you sure as hell aren't going to be a duke. If you are famous, they could give you ranks in nobility. If you are a nobody, you could join a military force, maybe even at a high rank, but odds are against you getting dukeship.

If you play oblivion and like that style, try out "Malevolent", and "Tears of the Fiend" mods. I think they are still on the nexus.

I like the concept.
However I'd like to see it go further.
Instead of getting a reward for every action, I'd like to see you get shafted and not get rewarded just as much as you are for a quest.
Based on what you did, how you did it, and who you did it for.
Then not very reward would be physical, or even rewarding in the sense of gain.
Some should just be a happy ending, or the sense that you beat the man you hate by such a large margin.

The radient AI has said that depending on certain actions rewards may change, though tbh I'm not sure on that.
That however is most likely just how much gold is given or how poerful an item is recieved.
