Call to modders

I always buy Bethesda titles on the PC because I love what the modding community is able to accomplish. I can't imagine FO3, FONV, Morrowind, Oblivion or Skyrim without the amazing mods the community has built. I know there are some really talented contributors here.

As you may have heard, Richard Garriott is making a new game and they're accepting crowd-sourced contributions. People have submitted models, textures, music, sound effects, in game books, etc. and had them accepted into the game. They've got a small team, so they can always use contributions. I look at some of the amazing weapons, armor sets, creatures, hair models, music, etc. this community has produced and I see opportunities for Skyrim modders to show their work off to a new audience and even get paid for it.

If they accept your asset, they pay you a nominal fee and you'll get to say that you contributed to an actual retail game. I don't think it is much, and is similar to what people price assets at on the Unity Asset store. But it is better than a kick in the pants if you've already designed something and haven't been paid for it currently because it has only been part of mods.

Shroud of the Avatar is still in early pre-alpha state, but it is starting to look rather promising. I will be contributing to it myself with some writing.

You can submit assets here:

And while I know this post is slightly off topic of Skyrim mods itself, it is discussing the Skyrim modding community.
