I have recently come across a website that claims to be a "Free Skyrim Beta" I honestly don't believe it's real..... So I bring this to your attention: Thank you.

Probably shouldn't post any kind of link to unofficial stuff on here... esp. if it's a fake beta link. Mods won't be too happy.

Unless BGS personally confirms a true Beta/Demo, don't trust any of these links. They're usually just viruses/phishing scams.

If there was a beta it would be confirmed by Bethesda, or otherwise only given to specific people, not randoms who visit a web page. And that URL seems very fishy. It's a fake, don't trust it.

This thread needs to be locked and that link removed, because it links to malware. Anything you DL from that website will infect your computer.

There already is. Lol, someone could have gotten the data somehow. All this needed was a confirmation and we already have gotten it.

The game is "in" beta, that doesn't mean there is a "beta" demo. This is fake. There will be no demo, confirmed multiple times.

I've reported this thread, so it'll be locked soon; hopefully the mod remembers to remove the link from the OP this time. They frequently forget..

People have already been playing the demos. Lol, MULTIPLE times. Quake-con for example.

That's an Alpha build of the game, set up on rigs that have bee programmed to run it. That's not a beta "demo", because no one has played the Beta version of the game yet.

EVERY single time they've shown Skyrim, it's been an Alpha version of the game. Only Bethesda has played the Beta version of Skyrim.

That's an Alpha build of the game, set up on rigs that have bee programmed to run it. That's not a beta "demo", because no one has played the Beta version of the game yet.

EVERY single time they've shown Skyrim, it's been an Alpha version of the game. Only Bethesda has played the Beta version of Skyrim.

Go away... Lol I acknowledge you're right, but it's still a demo whether or not it's a beta or alpha build. You can call it what you want. I call it b*llsh*t because I haven't gotten to play. Haha

All the demos were on the Xbox I thought? And made only for purposes at the expos they were showcased at (not to mention MQ/dragons toggled off).

There's always plenty of these "betas" going around before major game releases. I think I've seen ones for Diablo3, Asassin's Creed: Rev, and Batman: Arkham City. Don't trust em unless confirmed by BGS itself.

They would never do an open beta. Open beta's are 99% of the time multiplayer. Singleplayer beta's give away too much story, while all that multiplayer ones do is give away a map or some game mechanics.

There will NOT be a beta for Skyrim. I bet my life on it.
