Calling all High Elves!

Post » Thu Dec 15, 2011 4:07 pm

Just wondering who else out there is a HIgh Elf. I'm a battlemage High Elf. And I think the tallest person in Skyrim, I'm even taller than the other High Elf males and about a good foot taller than Vilkas my Nordic Werewolf husband...

I chose High Elf because I want to primarily be a mage, but then I thought they actually look really badass in this game, so why the hell not?

Same. Add the fact that they get an extra 50 magicka points at the start and it was an easy choice.

With a bit of time you can make them look absolutely awesome. I'm pleased with my choice

When given the option I've always played an elf in other RPGs and I thought dark elves were too creepy-looking.

Same here. I love the look and there is something appealing about an Arrogant Mage that just seems to fit well.

Now we just need all the lesser races to learn to bow down like they should to their betters.

Same as you two. I also liked the Highborn greater power, but I didn't know about it before I chose to be an Altmer.

Btw, I think I read at a skyrim wiki that the taller your character are, the more damage he does and the faster he runs. It's probably not that big of a difference, but I thought it was kinda cool.. And it's also fun to be taller than everyone in the game. Annoys me that you're only taller than them in third person, though.

I haven't seen many other High Elves in the game, apart from the crazy dude at Winterhold... Do any of you know of others?

On the tall note, that's awesome hahaha. It's just weird, I know High Elves are meant to be tall, but THAT tall...?

There's one (or were there two?) really [censored]y high elf female at the radiant raiment in Solitude. Apart from that, I remember seeing several other high elf females, but few males.

I've got one high elf save- used for throwing Cicero off the throat of the world, jumping on a horse quickly, jumping off as well, then see who reaches the ground first.

It's funner than it sounds, really. Hell the altmer being called "The Adoring Thalmer" makes things all the more exciting, especially when he's wearing the outfit to match!

How the hell did I forget the Thalmor... But they're evil High Elves, I wanted to know if there were any 'good' High Elves!

Generally play as a high elf. Like the look, especially a muscular warrior high elf. Made a muscular warrior high elf with blonde hair and a fuller face ( RPG background is bi-racial off spring of altmer/nord ;) )

Their bonus is more useful than others IMO. 50 bonus magic = 5 levels and highborn is a lifesaver in a jam vs something like battle cry which won't work against high level opponents.

Same here - battlemage....I picked High Elf because I didn't want to be human and I didn't want to be full-on creature. When you see Elf - you think - intelligent - good with a bow - good with magic - and I'll put some bad-ass armor and swords on this biotch...I like the skin color and tone and facial features too. And my character is better than all of you!!!!! LOL

There are male elves? I always thought that were more manly looking females or shemales at best. Am i the only one who despises elves in all forms? In all RPGs in all stories, film, books i really hate them, they r like self-righteous hippies and yes i despise hippies too.
Where are my fellow dwarf lovers? Invade this post and open their eyes on the gayness of elves...Although their women could be enslaved to work in our brothels!

During the charter creation make it bald and mess around with the bone structure and skin tone first. I generally make e jaw line and chin stronger, get rid of the sunken in look by editing the cheeks. Find a good eye shape you like then lower or raise it so it looks more manlike.

After you like the structure add your own hair choice and eye color.

I think my male high elf mage is very good looking. ^^ But yeah, there seems to be a lack of good (as opposed to the Thalmor) Altmer NCPs this time around. I've only found a handful so far.

I try to get rid of the sunken/gaunt cheeks but nothing seems to work! :(

I don't know if you can get rid of the sunken cheeks entirely...it's part of what makes an elf look like an elf. Widening the jaw a bit seems to help. though I don't widen it too much because I want my elves to look elven and distinctive.

The Altmer are genetically superior, of course.

They also have the best women, as far as elves are concerned.
Well, potential. The NPCs are average at best but I'm quite content with my Altmer female.
