Cambridge polymer labs items bugged

Post » Fri Mar 18, 2016 3:11 am

Afte I completed the quest the right way all 6 of the elemental container doo dads are still quest items, it really bothers me so I decided to submit a bug report, even though I am not sure if this is th right place or even the right site for one. Does anyone know if there is something i could do in the lab to make em droppable or is it just a permanant annoyance?

yeah unfortunately its a well known bug :(, the only condolence is they are weightless

you only need the gold 611 and lithium hydride 3111 for the formula and the trope, if you have a save before you could reload and just pick up the necessary 3 items? those ones do get removed from inventory

Yeah i lost an hours worth of progress, but i went back 3 days progress earlier because i realised i had not completed tradecraft, so no biggie, howeve its nice to know it is a well known bug that atleast means it has a chance of being fixed. Would love to decorate my science lab with those

There really needs to be a key item container functionality built into these games. People always end up with items stuck in their inventories, sometimes permanently. I get why we can't drop, sell or store these but being able to drop key items off at say a workbench for later retrieval from any other workbench or just to get rid of that annoying item from our personal inventory at least ought to be supported in some way.

Not all Bethesda key items are weightless; in Skyrim both the Dragonstone and a certain scroll weighed lots of people down by a huge amount, and it wasn't immediately obvious how to "lose" the scroll. We should have failsafes to prevent those sorts of problem.

Yeah, and in this we have the perfect opportunity. The could just add a script and a special chest for storing questitems, if its flagged as essential put it in that container, also a special like key container would be nice for the keys i dont need. "not necasarily the key thing just while i brought up the quest chest i thought i might add the key thing on here"
