Post » Sat Feb 13, 2010 6:28 pm

Im new but iv been reading all the posts 4a while now and iv hav som things id ilke 2talk bout. do u think in the next dlc they should som king of perk or even a dlc pack 4like $2 where u could add camouflage modifications to ur weapons? i think this would be sick! example: the all american is the only gun in the game that actually has camouflage and it would be sick if u could add desert camo 2the light machine gun or nevada camo 2the service rifle. good idea or not because i really want 2hear ur opinions?

I'd rather they worry about something important.

Besides if you want them badly enough get PC there a dime a dozen. And if your on console ust sedate your tastes with the All-American and Dinner Bell.

Dont forget the gobi scout rifle, it has camo too :grad:

Befor they added any think like that, Id rather them adress the lack of weapon mods for most guns, instead of giving us the option to camo the ones we have.Plus, there are far more important things that should come out of a dlc than just those, so if they were alone,or there own pack as you said, I wouldnt buy it.If they came with another dlc/add on, that would be fine with me.

For those saying this is a cod only thing, I disagree, any thing that helps with immersion is good for a game , but Id rather see them implement other things first. ;)

No, that doesn't really match the theme about the apocalyptic wasteland. Sure there are some camo weapons here and there, but only because they are Pre-War era. Adding camo would only hurt the series and style of Fallout in my opinion. I could care less about how my weapon looks, I only care if it gets the job done. :flamethrower:

The wasteland is a VERY unforgiving place.

It could be cool, but I would rather see them work on other things.

Wow why dont yall just gang bang the poor guy. If they did realease some kind of alternate appearance pack that had new and different variations of armor, a few new weapons and mods that would be cool, I know I would buy it. We already know they probably have a set amount of dlcs thats going to be released so something extra like that would be cool as long as it didnt cost much.

Not sure you'll get this in New Vegas (I have a feeling we won't see too many more miscellaneous changes) but it's something they could put in a future game.
The Gobi Scout Rifle has camo, too. It's a cool looking gun.

Edit: Just read the other replies. Glad to see everyone being friendly to the new guy. Be sure to grab his lunch money while you're at it. Sheesh.

This sounds like Horse Armor, so i wouldn't put it past Bethesda (don't shout at me, i know Obsidian made NV, but Bethesda is still the publisher)

It's not going to happen, but if it did, i would probably buy it. I trust that Obsidian would find a way to implement it without compromising the game, if they wanted to. It's not out of place for the setting. Weapon personalization is already implied in the game by the unique variants and the mods. Primitive paints can be made and smeared onto weapons. Maybe by the Great Khans. Or some prospector could find a warehouse full nuclear powered rattle cans.

Hey this isn t COD it makes no difference in that game and it would really make no difference in this game. Now if you want something useful i ve wanted since 3 is I can spray paint armor. It would be real useful in this game. I never did like running in Enclave colors in 3, but in this game it armor can get you shot at. With some poof can spray paint all those problems r behind me.

Well in the next patch they are addressing the problem with the lack of weapon mods you can purchase from merchants. It doesn't mean that more weapons will have mods, just that you can buy mods more easily.
