Sounds really cool. Being able to make a campfire is a good idea. :flamethrower:

Extremely unlikely.

Collecting wood would require you to chop down trees (Absolutely impossible for a endless amount of reasons) or for you to chop wood off trees and them take no visible damage at all/not get chopped down which would be very cheap and silly.

Would it be cool? Yeah. But it isn't going to happen.

And whoever told you that this was actually happening was telling a lie, no information like this has been released.

Nonsense.

Except that a chopped down tree is the worst campfire fuel in the universe next to rubber and ice cubes.

To make a campfire you need to collect dead wood from the soil of the forest.

edit: how are you people going to survive the zombie apocalypse if you don't know these things?

This.

They said you can light oil on fire it would make sense that you could lay some logs down and hit them with a fireball thus making a lasting fire. I hope so for the sake of immersion and atmosphere.

Collecting kindling would definitely not be difficult to implement, and if they have fire physics it shouldn't be difficult to light a pile of kindling on fire.

Offscreen trash-cleaning is by no means out of the question in an Elder Scrolls game. Morrowind did it with corpses, for example, and outside weird corner-cases it's not totally immersion-breaking. And, honestly, if that was something that really bothered Bethesda, it wouldn't be hard to just have them task a nearby lumberjack NPC to go out and pick up the leftover logs once you left because, hey, free lumber.
