with the new 1.8 patch i go to advanced graphics, and shadows and post processing dont have the extreme setting, they're set as custom. can anyone explain what custom is to me? cuz i set them back at extreme, went back into game n now i got 90 fps instead of the usual 60. so i just wanna know if custom is higher cuz i wanna use it but i dont know if it looks worse

Just use which ever one is better to you. To be honest I see no difference at all between custom and very high and extreme settings, there may be some differences but I don't play the game to spot tiny unsignificant changes. I would go with frames per second over motion blur and stupid stuff of that sort any day.

All that crying over wanting control over the other settings and then you cry again once you get them. All you got was a little less few options than Crysis one and if you have them maxed it, they're useless anyway.

A few less options? Almost no options.

As was said the day of launch this advanced graphics is phase one, once dx11 is here we get advanced graphics phase two, now you suppose the consoles get dx11?
they get phase two graphics options?
no, i'm cool with the game now, i got it lookin' nice and i'm still not finished with 'crash site', basically the only game mode i've played much, team death match a little too.
Duke nukem doesn't interest me much, maybe i'll get back to BC2 for a while, but right now i'm levelling up my weapons and my suit.

6 more advanced options than you had and when DX11 comes and some more. Crysis 1 had 12 "Advanced" options.

I think DX11 will add something called

"Super Advanced Graphics"

which has, wait for it..... 1 SUPER option

Enable DX11 = Yes/No

I actually would not be surprised if that really turned out to be the case, not at all.
