As the title of this topic says: Can anyone other than a Nord go to Sovngarde when they die?!? When I am in Sovngarde during the final quest in the main questline, I only notice Nords there. I know it's supposed to be the "Nordic" afterlife, but what if brave, strong, and cunning warriors of a different race were able to enter Sovngarde??? I heard about that Ebony Warrior who visits you when you are level 80s to fight him so that he will be killed and sent to Sovngarde....but he is a Redguard. So can anyone answer.....can any other race be capable of entering Sovngarde?????

They probably could.. I guess. I personally think the Ebony Warrior is just an avatar of Tsun.. but that's just my head canon.

In general, Sovngarde is nord-only. However, there are exceptions, as seen with the Dragonborn and possibly the Ebony Warrior. People of other races generally go to whatever afterlife/afterlives that culture believes in.

Don't let the terminology fool you. Anyone can get into Sovngarde, the catch is you have to be a True Nord at heart and die with honor and valor. But being a True Nord at heart is not the same as being a Nord in body. It's about caring about Skyrim, the Nords, and Nordic values, while maintaining the principles of what it means to be a Nord.

This is pretty much how I think k of it. Seems a number of great heros will end up in Sovngarde or at least in a type of Sovngarde.

Boom. Even the Companions had an Altmer harbinger at one point. "Even an elf can sometimes have a Nord heart." Really, Nord culture, especially old Nordic culture, had more of an emphasis on battle valor than race.
