Can anyone slow down water?

Post » Sat Jul 19, 2014 12:55 am

I can't mod. I don't know how to. One thing I noticed about the flow of water, especially waterfalls is the water flows to fast. I think water falls would look so much nicer and the rivers if the speed of the flow of water would be slower, and not flow as fast.

Can it be done? Has it been done? What do you guys and girls think?

Just an idea that popped into my head. Thought I would mention it.

Its probably not the speed of the water (terminal velocity is 128Mph, so water does not move fast around water falls, not 128 MPH, but it is not slow) and I have been in white water rapids were I was moving along at a good clip.

You might try a mod that makes the water look better, and less "grainy"

Here is the one I use

Realistic Water Two ( Second link CCNA posted ) will speed up the waterfalls slightly ( meshes edited to alter the anim speed value .. or something similar ), so not exactly what you are looking for but give it a chance because :

It also changes things like enclosed lakes not to have waves like the sea, and rivers to be more appropriate in the severity of choppiness, and ...

Lots of waterflow changes so that water in rivers for example are not going sideways under a riverbank, but flowing the way you would expect it to go

And it does not need ridiculously sized textures ( Isoku provides varying sizes for machine performance )

IMHO its the best water mod out there

In answer to your topic title though, if Isoku can speed it up, it can be slowed down too.
