Can I do anything with critter parts?

Hi, so as I've been killing rad scorpions, deathclaws, mole rats, and other miscleaneous critters, I've noticed they drop stuff. I know in the elder scrolls games, all the seemingly 'useless' parts dropped by critters are actually quite valuable if crafted into potions with alchemy. Is there anything similar in Fallout? So far I've failed to find any kind of books, npcs, or equipment with any hint of a suggestion that you can craft any kind of chems or anything from critter parts? I realize FO is a bit different game than the Elder Scrolls, but it seems like there must be something you can do with the loot from such a tough enemy as a deathclaw. I mean, it kind of svcks that after going to the work of killing it, all you get as loot is something worth like 15 bottle caps with no apparent use (I don't think you can even eat it like mole rat meat, etc)?

If you can't craft them into something more useful, are there any NPCs that will pay you for like 50 or 100 caps Deathclaw hands or RadScorp poison glands, or give you something cool in exchange for them?

Have you found the deathclaw schematic yet. Once you have that you can make a weapon which you can then sell for about 150 caps if your Barter is high. But no potion or chems from their parts.

The radscorpion stinger is used for the dart guns who is nice to cripple the legs of thought enemies. The rest is just food you can eat to get health or sell, some ant drop some essence with stat boost.
Never though of crafting weapons for sale, nice idea.

Mole Rat Meat can be converted to Wonder Mole Rat meat worth alot more money and having better health benefits once you find the machine that does it for you located in Jury Street Metro.

I tried making weapons for sale and with most of them I found that the parts I used to make the weapons had a higher value if sold seprately.

Weapon quality and price depend on your repair skill and numbers of schematics. looks like this is more useful in New Vegas as you can do more crafting.

I have a repair skill of 100+ and Barter of 100+. Most of the items used to make the custom weapons are still worth more if sold seperately.

Once you start wandering around, you'll come across weapon schematics for custom made weapons. Some vendors will also sell them and you can get a few after completing quests. Once you have a schematic, you can use those seemingly useless parts to make your own weapons using the Workbench. There are three schematics for each weapon you can make and having more than one gives different bonuses depending on the weapon.
