I made a similar, yet a bit different comparison.
TES games are sisters. They have the same parents, creators, background etc, but they are also unique and very different from each other. Skyrim is the beautiful and ambitious sister. Oblivion is the funny and social sister. Morrowind is the weird spiritual psychic sister. Now, if you're a family member, you can't pick your favourite and you're supposed to love them all equally, but if you're say a guy, you fall in love with one and only one of the sisters, you do have your one favourite TES, the one you love, and the rest you accept and respect and love as sisters of your one special beloved TES game.
And if you're the guy who's fallen for one sister, it's not nice to bash another guy for falling for another sister. To each their own.
Looking at it from this perspective, I would say Oblivion is the sister who (at first meet) comes across much more friendly and open. I'm dazzled by her outfits and her demeanor.
I feel more comfortable with her at first, as she sometimes bends over backwards to show off her hospitality. As I get to know her more deeply though, she starts to annoy me. I still love her company, but there are things that irk me, to the point I have to iggy her for a while.
But I can't just forget her. Eventually, I figure out a way we can both communicate and exist, so that I can enjoy her company more thoroughly again. Now that we're friends, she and I will never part.
Skyrim is the sister who's not so accommodating at first. She's louder and grabs my attention (or else) at first meet, and she makes no apologies about this. But not long after that first meet, I start to learn she's got a softer side. It takes awhile to notice this side of her, but once I do see it, I'm just as enamored by her presence as the Cyrodiilic sister.
She doesn't always wear pretty outfits, doesn't always speak in a gay, colorful tone. Her demeanor can be harsh sometimes, but if you spend enough time with her, you may start to see she can be just as magnificent as her sister. She just doesn't always show this magnificence as overtly.
