Can't believe people rate this game so high considering bugs

Post » Sat Mar 15, 2014 1:12 pm

I had to spend 2 hours finding a way to get the horendous mouse lag reduced in this game, and yet there is still mouse lag because v-sync must be forced on in this game, or else the game will break with vsync disabled. Awesome design decision, bethesda.
Also, when I rebinded my keys so that F would be used for favorites, and not change view, this disables the function of the F key in the menus, even though the menu still says to press F to assign a favorite, it will not work because that function was linked to the change view function.
Bad programming all around.
I will never buy another elder scrolls game unless you guys stop doing such a sloppy job on your PC ports.
TES V was one of the most popular games upon release, and it still is. The game has also been released for over two years, yet these game breaking bugs have still not been fixed.

Sorry you're having those problems. Every game is going to have issues. There's no way around it. I play on PS3 so I can't comment on issues with the PC. Fortuinately for me, my game disc has been very good to me. The positives will always outweigh the negatives in my opinion.

I'm sure other PC users will chime in.

Oh welcome to the boards. Here's your fishy stick

And the better dialogue controls and message box controls. I don't think there's anything for the binding problem though.

Bethesda Game Studios
-some assembly required

For pc players, there are SO MANY mods for this. But yeah,it does kind of svck. But when you have a HUGE world like this, with this much programming, a billion different things can go wrong.I don't know if you know coding, but it's harder than most people realize. Bugs are inevitable.

One can say that Bugthesda games (an appropriate nickname) suffer more from bugs than your ordinary game.

From what I've read and heard that seems to be the general consensus. Skyrim is however my first Beth game, the only Beth game I've played so I really cant comment on that.

At least in my experience, bugs have been more like a minor inconvenience that shows up from time to time than anything that makes the game unplayable.

Bugs are part of TES, just as much as my beard is a part of me. We couldn't live without them.. as much as we'd like to say otherwise.

Could be worse. Daggerfall was released in a state it couldn't be finished due to bugs. Skyrim is a massive improvement over that :hehe: And it doesn't even have http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sTrz6j_MkT8 like Oblivion did.

It's better then Fallout 3 in terms of a technical state, although I do agree that Skyrim does still have a lot of issues that haven't been fixed by patches.
