I guess you can only have trust. I have my full trust in Bethesda and Splash Damage to make this game the best :)

Trust in the developer and publisher (which I do), or wait until after release and rent (unless a demo happens before you get the chance to rent it - but they've officially said "no plans" for a demo, don't get your hopes up).

Nobody can really fault you either way. if you pre-order, and don't like it, oh well, you took a risk, didn't pay off (I doubt that will be the case though). If you don't pre-order and end up wishing you had, you took the safer option, and missed out on some exclusive content (but not much). Either way, you didn't lose much.

It's up to you.

I will restrain my self from anolusing it but in my worldview...no,we can't trust any seller in a http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capitalism system.

Profit,it's all about that, and humans fall to temtation easyly.

All u can do is satying informed through pre-views/interviews/re-views etc and various gaming sites and above all that after release the company will deliver the proper support.

I mean look examples like MoH and Homefront,a total failure in my eyes.Unpolished, full of bugs or without any kind of support.
Everything seems dreamy about Brink atm but, there's always a but and i hope we won't add that "but" in our after-release comments about this game.

You do have to take into account that they have delayed this game for a whole year so within this time they must of been making sure that the game is almost perfect before release. I have never played a splash damage game before but I am liking the look of this game so I'm gonna take a risk and pre order it.

I'm new here by the way and purchasing it for PS3.

One of the reasons the game was pushed forward was because they had finished the polishing and bug removal process, and not wanting to share the 17th of May with Rockstar's LA Noire, which says to me that they are confident and have completely done everything that they need to do. Also, the footage from their Bethesda's Secret Villain Base in Utah BFG event shows the basic final product in action and it is amazing. (Look it up in the forums and watch the beauty)

Yemster! Welcome to the forums. If you are on PS3 you should go to the PS3 topic and add your PSN so the community can assimilate you if you wish.

Also, here is your free :turtle:

These guys have an excellent track record, so I'm buying on faith, but a demo would be nice.

You can never trust a seller period. The only difference in that regard between Capitalism and Socialism is in Capitalism corporations will try to cheat you and in socialism governments will try to cheat you.

Politics aside though, my advice would be to wait for release and look at the game's reviews. It should help you decide if the game is worth purchasing. Renting it is also a good idea.

I am still hopefully that they will release a demo, but that is looking unlikely.

I trust Bethesda and Splash Damage. It would be highly unlikely that they would put out another Rogue Warrior especially when the bumped Brink to come out earlier.

I agree with Scrimpton. That video which is the longest video footage of in-game footage is just incredible. Your fighting in an aquarium, then a fort and on top of a large vessel. I witnessed the player jumping up to and over the side ledge of a higher platform and sliding while shooting. The sound effects of the guns and reloading are awesome. I certainly want a demo, but only because I can't wait to play Brink, not because I'm undecided on buying it. If your still unsure about buying it, let the review from IGN reassure you.

let the review from anywhere but IGN reassure you.

I don't trust IGN's reviews as far as I can throw the office/house they were typed in.

Just saying.

The previews are promising, from IGN and elsewhere, but their reviews haven't shown themselves to be very reliable.

IGN are sell outs in reviews. Its well known, whether they admit it or not they give big titles good reviews.

It's pretty much trust and buy or don't, the only time I'd expect to see a demo is maybe when sales drop, and I don't see that happening for awhile.

Even if the game turns out to be a flop, which i honestly dont see happening, i still like the direction its heading. So I have no problem giving me money to SD and Beth (two companies I love to support anyway).

With the video game market the way it is, every game purchase is basically a vote for what kind of games will come out in the future.

Yeah I pretty much pre-ordered on faith. But hey let's face it Brink looks awesome. If it's not what it's chalked up to be, [censored] happens. Deal with it and play the game for a while then sell it to a friend or on eBay. But that's probably not gonna happen cause Splash Damage and Bethesda are both great companies and have never led us astray.

Personally Id prefer that instead of taking the time / manpower to create a demo that they spend it on debugging and an earlier release so that I can play the full game. Demos are a privilege not a right IMO, and would be a bigger tease than anything else.
