Campaign is too hard. even on easy. I got up to day 6 with the police faction & tried for almost 2 hours to complete the mission. Having to hack something as an operative while your brain-dead AI teammates stand around & soak up bullets, while at the same time the entire enemy team shoots & throws grenades with superhuman precision, while also healing each other & reviving non stop, is pretty damn difficult. I'm by no means a bad player, I've been playing games for almost 20 years, from the SNES up to now, & i CANNOT complete this mission. I tried doing it in co-op online & found the matches to be completely unplayable thanks to lag, even though there was only 2 people in the game the 4 times i attempted this.
So campaign is terrible & broken, maybe multiplayer will work, it IS the point of the game after all.
Wrong again. Half a day spent trying to find decent matches, only to end up connecting to games with 2-3 people on my team, with NONE on the other side, & STILL there's insane lag. So this game is no fun & almost unplayble in both single & multiplayer. I tried SD, I REALLY tried to enjoy this game, i tried to give it the benefit of the doubt but i've never played anything so bad in my life. I can't believe somebody would release an online focused game in this day & age & have it so broken right out of the gate. Luckily i took it back to the store & got a full refund.
Of course there will be the usual brain-dead idiots who will defend this game & comment with the usual "you're doing it wrong", "i've had no problems", "this game is great". You can't defend this game without looking like a really devoted fan idiot or someone who's lying to themselves. 8 maps, a terrible story, broken AI, badly designed maps & choke-points, lack of difference with the weapons, pointless customization, a broken multiplayer compotent & glitches out the ass.
Sorry for the wall of text but i had to rant a bit, i can't believe someone would release a multiplayer focused game (at FULL retail price) & have it so messed up at launch. On the other side of the coin, Section 8: Prejudice was released a few weeks ago for $15, with a better campaign & a working online mode. Go figure
