So, I've found Gene the Dog Seller, but despite succeeding in the required SPECIAL check, when we get to the point where he asks where the dog will live, no matter what option I pick he says "oh, so you changed your mind huh?"

Any advice on how to fix this? I'd love a guard dog at Sanctuary.
