Post » Tue Jun 19, 2012 5:34 pm

Hi, im reading the tutorials on the Creation Kit and im trying to make the Bendu Olo quest but when I try to make the Bendu Olo actor I can't select his race and the pull-down box is blank. I've installed the Creation Kit about 4 times to see if anything would change but so far I got no luck, can anyone help me?

I don't mean to sound condescending or anything, but when you start up the creation kit, you have to go to "file>data..." and then double click the "Skyrim.esm" and press Ok. This will load up all the skyrim game files, including races and such. Did you do this?

Well that does seem to be the effect when I try to follow the tutorial without loading the ESM files. I get to that point and the race selection is blank.

Maybe he jumped right into this as his first tutorial...it doesn't review the "Load the Master files" part at the start.

Seriously, they need to put something like this at the start of each and every tutorial sequence:

Be sure that you have already read the http://www.creationkit.com/Getting_Started#Creating_Your_First_Plugin before starting this tutorial or you may get stuck.
