I have talked Nevelar or whatever his name is. I go through the dungeon but there is a boulder in the way in order for me to continue. I have tried everything but nothing flags me as talking to Nevelar even though I have.

What more is there to say? I have talked to him and it still has the icon marker on him. However, it also has the marker for the location in the dungeon. So both markers are showing. I don't have an earlier save.

Okay giving away minor spoilers here but do you have the broken black star; if so you can take it to either location; one will give you the black star the other will give you azura's star. If you haven't gotten the broken star yet and if memory serves you need to pull a level to get through the cave to get the broken star hop this helps.
