Can't decorate house, Item SPLOSION

Post » Tue Dec 06, 2011 4:19 am

I spent a long time the other day decorating my house with Dwemer artifacts in Whiterun. Grabbed every single crappy blue goblet, bowl, plate, etc. and started to decorate. I left my home and came back later to see the items thrown around the room like it had been ransacked. Not a cool glitch.. Anyone else experience this yet? If not, try it and tell me if it happens to you as well. Thanks!

Yeah I didn't use magic.. everything just exploded. It was Dwemer artifact spinart in my living room :(

Good thing I didn't spend a good hour trying to rotate a damn cup by making it hit the table in certain ways just so I could lay it down like I cup SHOULD be laid down. (Please tell me there is an easier way to rotate objects while holding the activate button)

Unfortunately this seems to happen if you place anything down in your house. The weapon racks, plaques and the bookshelves, work great for those items, but anything placed freely seems to just go flying once you re-enter. Hope it'll fixed soon.

I think theres a bug that makes items reset to where they were dropped. I hear moving things into postition again fixes it though but i'm not 100%.

I somehow got a sabrecat in my house one time.
Yup, that wasn't good...

Aye, the creations of the dwemer are powerful but dangerous. Their hubris probably led to their demise.

In your case, it led to your house exploding.

What, don't like skin rugs?

By the way, Storm Call + Fast travel to a city = Bad idea and a bounty. Wish they would fix that too...

This bug has happened to me but it's not consistent.

I decorated my Breezehome like this; various potions and things I placed on tables ended up strewn across the floor when I re-enter, but the bowls full of apples and potatoes I left on another table remained intact. Not sure why the bug affects some things and not others.

Considering how cumbersome the mechanism for grabbing/moving items is, I decided not to bother re-decorating. I really wish you could hold "E" to grab an object, and then hold the right mouse button and move the mouse to change the orientation of the item (for instance, to place a bowl upright on a table).

When I saw "SPLOSION" I lol'd.

Thanks.

I don't know how you even have the patience to decorate in the first place.
