Can't enter Fighters Guild due to Bad reputation.

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 5:59 am

Hi!

I'm trying to enter the Fighters Guild, but each time I try it, the guild masters tell me that due to my bad reputation I'm not able to enter. They say that I must get a better reputation to be able to enter.

How can't I grow my reputation?

Thanks in advance!

P.D I've already spoken to guards and paid my crimes...

Do good deeds/good quests. Doing an evil quest, such as certain Daedric shrines or Dark Brotherhood quests will increase your infamy, which is bad for the fighters guild. What you need to do is increase your fame to offset your infamy. Do this by...
closing oblivion gates
completing quests in the main quest line or mages guild questline
winning arena fights
or doing a variety of side quests as long as they dont seem blatantly evil

Quote UESP wiki about the Fighters Guild: 'they do not allow characters with an Infamy score of 100 or greater to join, unless you also have 100 or more Fame.'

So, it depends on how much fame you need. Here is some info on raising your fame: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Fame

As you can see, your best bets might include the Arena or even closing a bunch of Oblivion Gates if you are doing the Main Quest.

Another approach might be to reset your infamy to 0 by doing the Pilgrimage quest of the Knights of the Nine DLC if you have it installed.

I forgot about this... if you have KotN this is probably your easiest option

The easiest way is through the Pilgrimate quest of KotN, like stated before. If you don't have KotN, the Arena is probably the fastest and easiest route. And try not to do anything that ups your infamy until you've gained enough fame, so lay off those Dark Brotherhood quests and such. :P

You shouldn't have stolen that sweet roll. They all told you not to, but you had to do it. :whistling:

I advice the Arena, KotN, and the Main Quest to gain fame.

Thanks to all of you :)

I think I'll do the Pilgrimate quest, because I've already finished the mainquest, closed all oblivion gates and finished all mages guild quests. and in the arena I can just fight once a week...

I once started the pilgrimate quest, but I've never finished it, so later today I'll do that and hope it helps me :)

Because the fighters guild is the last guild I need to finish, all the other are complete (thieves, dark brotherhood, mages, arena...).

After finishing the fighters guild quest line I'll go for the DLCs :D

Thanks for your help!
