can we be fat?

Post » Sat Jun 11, 2011 11:49 am

I'd really like to make a rotund character, a little earlier though i read a post somewhere on these boards saying that the character creation only really allowed for variations between skinny and muscly, what do you think am i going to be able to make a fat barman that can sneak like Santa and is a lethal shot with a bow? :)

Man I hope so! I probably won't make a character like this but just being able to do it in a TES game would be awesome!

we've heard from gameinformer that you can customize things like the size of your muscles and things, but that was a long time ago, and we haven't heard anything official about it since. Even after Todd's been asked about character customization and generation, he still doesn't mention anything about it.

If you get fat enough, you should unlock a belly flop ability in combat, and an equivalent to "mister sandman" where you can sit on sleeping victims and kill them.

Great minds and all that. Any way, I wonder if it will just be a selectable body shape or will it have a Soul Calibur 4 esque slider to determine size and muscularity. Can't wait to find out! Seriously, I will probably spend hours screwing around with the character editor!

Haha, we've only seen one, maybe two horse models! All of them may not be fat!

Im sure the dragons will appreciate it. Fat always adds good flavor to a meal. Although maybe they wont be able to attack you as they will be laughing too hard seeing a fat guy pouring out of his armor trying to run away from them.

On the other hand, carrots are zero weight, as are all food, so I doubt we can gain weight.

If you consider 'fat' to be huge muscles then yes, yes you can.

On the topic of customization, when skyrim got featured on the E3 day 2 live show today the interviewer was asking todd about character customisation and he replied along the lines of you can choose body type, war paints, scars, tattoo's, muscle etc. basically anything that makes you look badass.

no wasn't really what i had in mind, i meant fat like girth-wise, i just think it would make the world a little more interesting to see more varied people walking around, i was thinking of making a sort of mad Butterbur from Bree :) (lotr)

I don't necessarily think that everyone should be ripped, but I really don't think a character could do what you'll be doing and remain fat for very long. What with all the travel, running, combat, etc.

Haha I've never thought about this before. If it's possible to make 'larger' characters, then I may play one. Perhaps I'll try making fat merchant. ;)
