I've asked this in a million places, even Microsoft support, and no one knows what's wrong... so I'm not expecting much, but I'll ask anyway.

So, I've been working on a mod for awhile now, and I'm getting fairly close to finishing it, but I can't find the file anywhere on my computer. I know that it should normally appear under morrowind->datafiles, but it just isn't. I've used windows search, and it does find the file, but when I try to click on it, it says "Windows is searching for the file, click browse to find it yourself." and if I click browse, it does take me to the proper directory, but the file just isn't there. I do have hidden files, and file extensions shown, so it's not that.

I can play it in Morrowind, and still open it in the CS, so why can I not find the file anywhere? halp
