Post » Sun May 29, 2011 12:10 am

I have chests FULL of items worth 14,000 or more. Yet i can not find a vendor who has a cap that high. I dont want to settle for like 2000... Where can i find such a vendor?

You won't at least not without mods. So if you're on console you're SOL.

Edit: with the master perk for mercantile vendors will have a bit more gold available but nowhere near what you want.

Yeah - the most any normal vendor has in the game naturally is 1200. If you get to expert mercantile and invest in their shop, they'll have 500 more, and if you get to master mercantile, all the shops will have 500 more, so you're up to a maximum then of 2200. And that's it. The Thieves Guild fence Fathis Ules has 1500, which is the most in the vanilla game, but he's a mercantile master and drives a really hard bargain, so it's hardly worth it.

In the end though, it really doesn't matter. Just grit your teeth and sell your nice stuff for 1200 (or 1700 or 2200, depending), and you'll still end up with more money than there are things to spend it on.

Yes you do get the money anyway even though not in one big hit. Piece by piece your purse will grow fat. Like that time in Bruma where I sold 2000 arrows to Fjotreid.

One by one...

I like Fjotreid, but I'm not sure if I'd want to spend that much time with him. :D

Same here. I was just trying to raise Lothran′s Mercantile skill one winter. Man, selling those one by one was such a pain I will never do it again even if my own life depended on it :dead:
