Hi, I've been playing daggerfall for a while and started doing dark brotherhood quests, was expelled one time for whatever reason, re signed on. I have done three or four quests for the brotherhood, giving me fifteen rep, also haven't failed any quests. When I wait 28 days for the promotion increase, they expel me. Why would they do this? Is it a bug? Fixable? just curious. Thanks!

I thought you can't rejoin the brotherhood, once you leave they won't let you back.

i don't know, i killed five npcs and got the rejoin quest. I opened a save editor and it said my rep was negative thirteen. Perhaps if i do three more quests it will go into the positives?

Have you done any quests for factions that the Dark Brotherhood doesn't like? Doing a quest for any faction increases rep with all the faction's allies and decreases it with all the enemies. That's most likely how it went into negatives, getting you expelled.

Got it I just did a few more quests and my rep is in the positives again!
