Nope, once you've been banned from gambling in the Casino's that's it. This was I believe put in place to prevent people from gambling their way to obscene amounts of chips/caps.

On a sudden thought, one other way they could have dealt with it, is once you have won a sequentially higher number of chips, is to half the exchange rate for each point passed with no ceiling on the doubling effect. Although with this some people could end up with an exchange rate of 16,777,216 chips to 1 cap or even higher.

they should have made it to where the ban lasts for X amount of 'days' then you can resume.

i mean, it's a game right? since it's a single player game, who cares if my idea of fun is getting a million caps via gambling?

And what if my fun is one shotting deathclaws with the BB gun? It's a game, right? They should have put that in.

Game system design isn't an "eh, why not" process. At least most of the time.

But you can one shot a deathclaw with a BB gun. You get one shot off, and then get decapitated.

lol...cause shooting a deathclaw with a bb gun is just asking to get your face stomped on... but you kind of have a point.

I liked the idea at first. I got banned from the wrangler, the tops, gamorrah, and the ultra deluxe about 2 days ago. It was kind of surprising and immersive. I'm on a hot streak, realizing I've somehow managed to gain thousands of caps, the casino managers are giving me free food... I feel like a hot shot, then bam, no more kid, we're done, you've taken us for all we're worth, get out!

Now I just wanna play some blackjack though... I guess I can go and do the side quest for the vikki and vance casino, but it won't be the same as gambling on the stip...

I personally think getting banned permanently is a stupid mechanic. I mean even a really long ban period, like 30+ in-game days, maybe even without waiting and sleeping counting toward the total, would be cool. I mean, I haven't even gotten to the strip (and I'm like lvl 25 or so already) but I don't wanna have to worry about accidentally going over a certain limit in winnings should I get there and start gambling.

Maybe someone will make a mod to make bans temporary.

@OP:

In short, no.

However, there is light at the end of the tunnel - certain people play caravan, so learn who are the wealthier ones and limit yourself to a certain level and play them. I've found a certain Caravan player a loooong way from Vegas plays the game like my grandma plays football, but I won't rob them blind.

Considering how in actual life, a ban from one casino is rarely ever temporary, and it's not unheard of that being banned from one, will make other casinos ban you as well, it makes perfect sense. Given, the latter is more for cheating, but if you're winning THAT much, it's suspected cheating.
Like counting cards for blackjack. While not TECHNICALLY illegal, as you're just mostly keeping track of something to get an edge, there's not a casino out there that will not ban you for it, and since they share info, you can quickly become persona non grata in an area quickly.

I seem to be unnaturally talented at black jack....
that "Luck" implant may have something to do with it!
(that surgical bad-boy paid for itself – FAST)

Been banned from Gomorrah and The Tops...
Where else can I go to get Banned from...for my blackjack skills...?

What are the names of the other casinos and where roughly are they located?

Only the Casinos on the Strip count towards the Break the Bank achievement. So, Tops, Gommorah and the Ultra Luxe.

Also, I think those are the only casinos that ban you. But I could be mistaken on that one.

However the Bans are for Gambling, not being in the Casino so you can still go in and see the shows, do the quests etc. Just can't join a gaming table and play.

I always thought the Casinos in Las Vegas would ban any lucky Anton that threatened to make their money vault go bust :P

By the way, I've been banned at the Lux, Gommorrah AND the Tops, but still not earned the 'Courier who Broke the Bank' achievement.

I've even gotten banned at the atomic wrangler xD

I think you can still play even if you find the 'gaming' table even if everyone is dead.

I killed everyone in the Tops, walked over to the black jack table, dragged the corpse of the dealer onto the table, ate him, and then played a round of black jack... It was on the PC so it may be a PC thing...

So where do I buy "LUX" chips if i killed them all?
Do the chips from other casinos work at "The Lux"?

It because of people that use save if win method (I have done this myself so this is not a complaint just explanation) if they was no banning may as well have one Casino saying unlimited caps for everyone. Also what Casino like people who always win I can't think of any I love that you get banned not as if they the only way to make caps anyway and you get achivement.

The slots were the fast-path for getting banned from most casinos for me. However since they don't have slots at the Ultra Luxe, it's slow going with a meh-level luck stat (6 or 7 IIRC here at work). At level 29 I hate to waste my last skillpoint on raising luck, and I already have the implant. So it's grinder time!

  • Quick save
  • Start Blackjack
  • Max bet
  • Deal
  • Double down/Split as needed
  • If win then exit table goto step 1
  • If lose then exit table, quick restore, wait that long "anti-cheating" minute, goto step 2

Which reminds me, since they have the winnings cap at each casino, why do they also need the one-minute delay after reloads/quick restores? IMHO, the delay seems to only be needed to slow down things if you didn't have a cap.

I had a luck of 6, put on naughty nightware for luck: 7 and had no trouble playing straight. At first I used the reload method, but I quit that having gotten tired of the anti-cheating wait. I found that just by playing smart, and relying on my luck a little (hitting on 15 more than I would typically for instance) I had no problem breaking the bank. They were bigger pricks about it too than the other casinos. I think next time I will play Black Jack until I get to about 10g's then play the slots for the jackpot in the casinos where that's an option. Maximize my profits.

I forgot about naughty nightwear! I need to go find some jammies ASAP. Rock the Hugh Hefner look while gambling.

Any luck-increasing headgear out there?
