Can't give Eyes of Falmer to Delvin

Post » Sat Jul 07, 2012 10:59 am

*Possible Thieves Guild Spoilers*

I just pretty much wrapped up the Thieves Guild questline after returning the Skeleton Key to the Twilight Sepulcer and thus completing the last quest Darkness Returns. After the previous quest, Blindsighted, where you had to catch and kill the betrayer Mercer Frey and take both of the Eyes of the Falmer, I was never given a dialogue option with Delvin to give him the Eyes. So I still have the Eyes and can't completely finish the Thieves Guild and get the achievement for restoring the Guold back to it's former glory.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Known bug. Not needed for the cheevo iirc. At least I hope not.

As mentioned above, this bug is known and has existed since day one. Whatever the last Larceny Target item you get it, picking it up will automatically complete that subquest and you won't be able to turn any other items to Delvin. It won't affect your ability to get the achievement, but it should still be fixed. Contact Gstaff and Bethesda so they'll see more people want this addressed, along with all the other bugs in the Thieves Guild.

What else do I have to do to get the achievement then?

I never had an issue with this on the PS3 but now on my first time through the thieves guild I encountered it. So I have both eyes sitting on a shelf in one of my homes.

Ha. Do what I'm doing now! Complete odd jobs for Vex and Delvin. You need to do five in each of the cities they give you sans Riften, which doesn't count. After that, you'll be assigned a special job in each city to do. Complete all special jobs for the cheevo, or maybe you have to become guildmaster afterwards...either way, it's very tedious.
