Can't do Hard Luck Blues(NCR)

Post » Sat Aug 13, 2011 11:36 pm

I can't do this on NCR playthrough. It's just sad. I go to Sharecropper farms, get the quest and go to Vault 34. Seriously, if I see ANY more quests in Vault 34, I will jump off a roof. I hate that place. I digress. So you learn that there are Vault Dwellers trapped in Vault 34. You come across a terminal and you get a choice:Save the vault dwellers, but you doom Sharecropper Farms. Or you can help Sharecropper farms, but doom the residents. I can't bring myself to just trap those people in there forever! All for what, NCR? Anyways, that's all I wanted to say. Naturally, I saved those people. I am not going to let them starve to death because of the NCR.

The NCR is unaware of them trapped there, it would have been interesting to have an option to tell the people they were down there and see what their reaction is.

There's only two quests for Vault 34, what's the problem? I hate it too but the Amory makes up for it.

I've done both, the first time I trapped the people down there, the second time, I let them out. The NCR will eventually fix the radiation leak. Probly. Maybe.

Most people I know have a real problem with vault 34 just because its the only vault that puts you on a timer (radiation) so I'd only suggest doing it after you've also completed a DLC like Dead Money where you can mass produce radx and radaway. Its a pretty easy vault to memorize though, and the fallout wiki even has a easy to follow guide for how to run through the vault in just a few minutes. Hopefully after your 3rd or 4th time there you'll remember it, its nowhere near as random of a layout as lets say... the king's place, most diagonal 4 story building I've ever seen.

but look at the rewards of the vault, all american, c4, combat armor, and the pulse gun. 2 amazing unique weapons in 1 place, pretty slick. Also if your the kind of person who plans ahead and ends up with jury rigger. theres an insane amount of 10mm pistols you pull out of that place, and those can repair so many high cap yield guns.
