When i start i private campaign, the game starts loading the session. When the message "press any key" is shown, and I do so, It closes the loading with the error message "Connection to game session lost". This also happens when trying to host a freeplay game.
I have forwarded the ports in my router as well.
My friend can host with no problem, but when i try to join him i get "server not responding" error in steam.

Any solution?

Man can you tell me which ports you forwarded, because I kinda have the same issue and I wish someone can help me with it.

The co-op selection is disabled when I choose the campaign mode and after I choose public and private, and I don't think the password is even working, I type my password and nothing is happening

After reading the forums a bit, the ports used for brink is UDP 27015-27016 and UDP 8766. This doesn't resolve the issue at my end. still can't host a co-op game.

The password in the campaign menu is for setting a password for the games YOU host. The Co-op setting is greyed out because both public and private are co-op game modes. you can play SP by selecting Solo.

Actually I figured it out, I have to join through steam, or invite someone from steam not from the game. :brokencomputer:

My friends & I got around connection issues by setting the host PC to be the DMZ in the router settings. After that, just use steam interface to join and it should work. Good luck!
