Sup! I'm level 15, have 65 Smithing, and the materials to further upgrade my Orcish Armor. I upgraded them once, but couldn't upgrade it again. I also have a point in the perk since my smithing is so high.

PS: I use Heavy Armor and my Fists with Alteration Buff Magic. Ultimate tank idea ftw.

So I can't upgrade it even though I have the requirements to. Wtf? Help?

I ran into something similar on my character, you need a higher skill level to actually perform the improvement. How much higher I don't know, unfortunately.

You only need to upgrade things once if you've never upgraded it before. So for example if you have the skill to upgrade it to Epic right now then you only upgrade it once to Epic. However if you had previously upgraded it to Flawless then you'll have to upgrade it again to Epic. But if you're upgrading something new you can only do it once.

65 smithing only takes something to Flawless with the perk (Exquisite without). You need 100 smithing for Legendary with the perk (200 without).

Sweet. If Flawless is better than Equisite...then I already got all my Orcish armor to max upgrade. Thanks all.

From my experience, once you've upgraded a piece of armour you can't upgrade it again; you have to forge or find another of the same piece. But then again I might be wrong.
