I've been having issues trying to get Morrowind to load save games, full story here:

and the latest suggestion was for me to install it into a different directory.
Other than manually moving the files myself (which I've tried to no success), the only way I can think of is to actually set it to install elsewhere, rather than the C:\Program Files (x86)\Bethesda\Morrowind.
I want to tell it to install to a brand new area WITH the setup, but there's no option to edit the desired directory. It's simply grayed out in a little text box with the options to either cancel, move forward with the installation, or go back. None of those solves my problem.

Any ideas?

Make sure the game is uninstalled, then open the registery and delete "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Bethesda Softworks\Morrowind"

Then try to install it again.

There's no registry folder for Bethesda Softworks.

Windows 7 or Vista? Try HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Wow6432Node/Bethesda Softworks/Morrowind. You can delete the entire Morrowind key or the Installed Path value inside it. Either should do the trick

Okay, that allowed me to switch directories, but my original problem still isn't solved.
The link in my original post above is my issue. It still freezes on load and I can't fix it.
