I can't install Oblivion on my laptop

Hello,
I've been spending the summer in a different state than my hometown so I bought myself a used laptop. I installed Oblivion on it but I didn't have enough ram to run it. I also had some problems with it and had to reformat the drive and reinstall everything. I upgraded the ram and wanted to try to play Oblivion on it again. This time it won't even install. Whenever I try to use autoplay or use setup I get an error message that says d:/ (or setup.exe) is not a valid win32 application.

The computer is a Dell Latitude D610 here are my specs:
Windows XP professional version 2002
Service Pack 3
Intel Pentium 1.73 ghz
1.99 gb ram

You should be able to install it. However with that CPU and a Radeon x300, you're not going to be able to play it.
