I was in town today when I saw the Midway game 'Area 51'. I remembered playing it when I was about eleven so I had to get it. Especially because it was only ￡1.

But I can't seem to install it. When I go through the Install wizard, it goes through all the normal stuff. Agree to the ToC, select language, choose file location and then Install. But the instant I press install, I get a message saying "Instillation complete." I thought that was pretty quick, but I read it and it said that the instillation was interrupted. I've tried it a couple of times but to no avail. Any ideas what's gone wrong and how to fix this?

I looked online for a solution and I see that many other people are having the same problem. But all the fixes are for XP/Vista, seeing as this is an old game (released 2005) and there's not even a mention of Windows 7...

Any fix for Vista should be applicable for Windows 7.

That said, 2005, and old game? That's just a hop, skip, and a jump ago! Dang young whipper-snappers with their fancy newfangled ipods and Youtube Music Videos!

Run the installer as Admin and do not install the game to programs but to C:Games or something like that. You may also want to disable any security programs when installing as well since they might block the game from installing needed files to the system.

Done all of that, but what do you mean to 'C:games'.

I should add that I'm a total noob to PC gaming. All I've played is Runscape and Half Life. Finally got a gaming PC about a month ago, but I've been tied down with XBOX games I got for Christmas/ birthdays.

Try to run it as admin, but in compatibility mode (Vista with service pack 2), and if windows 7 suggest you any online solution click on that. !!!!!!
