I just got the key to the motel room in Novac, and since I don't have a house yet I was wondering if I could live there? I know I can sleep there whenever I want, but will the containers respawn if I leave stuff in them? And if so, how long do I have until I lose my swag if I use them?

You can use it as a permanent player home. All of the containers in it are safe.
