Can't load vanilla saves in Legendary edition

Post » Tue Jul 02, 2013 8:33 am

Here's the story:

I bough the first Skyrim in Denmark and installed all patches up to about 1/1/2013. Then I didn't play for a while because I lost the disc.

Today I bough the Legendary edition in Bangkok, Thailand, however, now I can't load any of my saved games despite being told that this game is compatible and that there would be no region problems.

I can see my saves and game option data in the memory, so they're still there.

How do I get to play them again?

Thanks for your time.

^ Why the [censored] do you even answer with a [censored] comment like that?

Obviously with vanilla I mean the original standard version of Skyrim which would be obvious from context.

Vanilla means, plain. So the original, or base game. Which is Skyrim (with no mods too).

And OP, I think I know your problem.

You bought the vanilla game in Denmark, and the LE in Bangkok. I'm sure there is some region limits there. Always best to have the same region.

Of course it's not working...!!!!!

The good news first. lol

PS3 Games:

All PS3 games released so far are region free.

---------------------------------------------

The bad news.

DLC (Downloadable Content):
You must download DLC from the same region store as the game.

The DLC is specifically coded for its respective region, and will not work for other regions. !!!!

Game Patches
PS3 games will grab the correct patch for their region. The region of your PSN account is not relevant here.

Saved Games
Saved games work similarly to DLC. When you save your game, the file it creates is of the same region as the game.

You cannot load it up on a copy of the game from a different region.

:thanks:

^ I don't understand that Mark. I did not install any DLC except patches on the original install.

Sorry i haven't understand your question. :D --------- Answer "updated" above.----------

PLEASE CHECK !!!!

So you actually have saves from Denmark Skyrim and patch as well, trying to install "Legendary Edition" from Bangkok and DLC's from that LE Edttion as well.

So neither your game, saves, patch and the DLC's from LE Edtion will work....if you insert the LE edition disk to play.

---------------------------------------------------

What you actually can do is this:

Deleting your Denmark Skyrim installation, install your game from the Bangkok LE edition and the DLC's and start from scratch !!!!!!

SORRY FOR THAT !!!!!
