I think i know how the problem is !

An account creation on this Homepage gamesas.com is it allowed to creating nickname with symbols or something other like big and small characters, but the game, ingame menue have issue with it.

There is a issue between Accountpage gamesas.com and the ingame menue.

I have tell EA Support from this.
Well, 2 Hours of hard discussion, before 35 minute waitingtime.
EA Support, Crytek or Gamespy make the issue ?!
But the Supervisor send it to higher position (Tier 3).

I have tell him, it is a big Problem and there are hundreds or thousend People the have the same problem, here 166 pages.

I hope it helps and it was correct and i can help all Peoples and the problem get fixed.
I will only Battelfield 3 Limited Edition from EA for it.
For doing my best, inform EA, hard discussion, watingtime...

You can Test something: Go to login here and change the Nickname without any symbols or make small and big characters in it or create a new account with other Emailadress.

The Emailadress can make also the Problem!
But i think, there is the Issue of allowed writing nickname or emaildress.
emailadress is not allowed to change, only nickname.
For Emailadress change, you must create a complete new account.

I hope EA contact me and write here something down (the fix).

The point is to manually add a Windows firewall rule for Crysis2.exe, regardless to work of your antivirus program.

After almost 6 months of waiting I still can't login to MP game, because of my Nickname at gamesas.com and can't change it there because of some damn "error occurred". Wrote 3 inquires to the Technical Support and still no answer. And that's for 40 USD I paid for the limited edition with extra content I can't activate??? Hell, I want my money back!!!

Dice would be company that creates BF3 not Crytek, EA is just a broker. The beef here is with Crytek not EA, get your head out of your ass and pay attention.

I stoped playing this game for about 3 weeks because of holiday.
After coming back home i wanted to start crysis 2 with the fu***** login data which are saved on my PC.
I just had to click on the login button and then this ugly RED SCREEN with "Account/Password wrong"-Message poped up.
OH YEH but i fu***** can log in on this ugly website and see my played games etc. BUT I CANT LOGIN INTO THE GAME

i reinstalled my game and now i have the same problem account pass is wrong/user name and i tried to change my name in gamesas and now i cant change it back anymore. 50€ for this realy ridiculous. and no one is answering me in c2 support or these gamesas admins this is gettin realy frustrated i hope some one will message me back or give my old account back

I've had this same problem ingame (ChapterXII) and i tryed changing my nickname in the gamesas details and it wouldn't let me.
Apparantly Snow contains invalid characters. i would create a new account but i got the limited edition and i don't want to lose all my stuff cos i already registered the code to that account.

Suddenly started working for me, I have no clue why, not sure if Crytek fixed the problem or I just got lucky. Still not recommending any Crytek games to friends in the future, this was a horrible experience.

This worked for me after two months of trying:
Close Crysis 2 (if you have it open) and try changing your gamesas password again and creating a new username from Edit Profile. I kept getting the invalid user name error, so I tried different names, different spelling and got a white web page that had the username in the error. The next time I made a new name, got the new error I clicked back on my browser and my username was changed. I closed, then reopened my browser and tried to login with the new user name and password and it worked.

I opened Crysis 2, skipped the login and created a new profile, went to multiplayer and was able to login with the new username and password.

Damn... i've sent a support form about this weeks ago and i still haven't got an answer. now i'm looking at this forum and i'm just thinking they failed at this game...

This game has been out for months, why isn't this **** fixed yet. Now i can't play a game I just bought. Crytek is pretty **** useless.
