What would happen if I redeem my limited edition stuff on my account that does not really exist... ?

Dear Cry-Team can I change my gamesas nickname? I want to connect to the multiplayer with my gamesas acc. nickname but it means i need a acc. name with 3 letters unfortunately my nickname contains one number and two letters and therefore it's not possible to connect please let my know how this problem can be solvet.

Last night I got a random email from IGN saying my account was registered(same account name as gamesas). I then hopped into crysis 2 and it worked finally!

only problem now is that only 1 server out of at least 15 ive joined is able to launch the game...

I really want to play online using this name. I registered very early on and was excited to get such a great name.

Is it because it's 3 characters long? When I try to login it says incorrect login details, please retry. I tried countless times and the same login details work on this site. I tried changing my password, using different caps, etc and nothing works.

Anyone have any fixes or ideas? Please help I wanna play online.

Im confused, since when do i need a Gamespy account to play Crysis? I though a gamesas account would do just fine? But that **** aint working either, since i've failed to login the last 300 times due to "Incorrect password blablabla".

It's really sad and disappointing that you realease a game thats unplayable for most of us PC Gamers.
And Limited Edition, wtf am i supposed to do with that? "Bonus XP", yeah that would be good now, so i can catch up with those that actually can play the game...

Bug Report:

Cant login with this account "mpox". I made it via website a week ago.
If I create a new account ingame, I can log in without problems.

Looks simple: Website is writing (or just wrote, dunno) stuff into a different database than the ingame client does.

Im looking forward for a fix, cause I want to play with my first chosen nickname. Please let us also know if there is NO SOLUTION. In this case I would use another nickname.

and i used the same email as i did before, now my login is working

Unless Crytek/EA/Gamespy/GFace (too many cooks?) is cool about distributing new codes, it might be too late for those of us who used their Crysis 1 gamesas account to redeem the code.

I now have three accounts.
One works for multiplayer, but not for forum posts. The other works for forum posts (and maybe multiplayer). The original Crysis 1 account worked to redeem the code (via the website), but it cannot login to multiplayer, in-game, to actually download the DLC. That one doesn't work in the forum either.
Fun.
Next time, just skip the "Limited Edition" DLC bait and make sure the old Crysis login database works with the new game.

ANSWER

A separate gamesas Account is required to access any online features, including multiplayer content, the redemption of Limited Edition codes, DLC, etc.

While gamesas accounts use IGN technology, they do not use or require a standard GameSpy ID. You should not attempt to access online content with your GameSpy ID.

You may create your gamesas account through the game, or by logging in to gamesas.com.

Logging in for the first time via the game will create a completely new login.
If users already have a gamesas login, they may use that to login.
Otherwise, they will be prompted to create an account.

To redeem your bonus content code from within a PC game:

Select "Multiplayer" from the Crysis 2 main menu.
If you have not logged in before, you will need to create a gamesas account. Enter your nickname, password, and email when requested.
In the Crysis 2 multiplayer menu, select the "My Crysis" option.
Select "Redeem Code". This will exit the game and open gamesas in a browser window.
Login using your gamesas details.
Enter the content code in the text box and click "Redeem Code".
Run the game and it will automatically detect that your bonus content is available.

So still not fixed, cannot login to redeem code using the same account I have already to post to this forum.

Just throwing my name in to the hat of people with this problem. Made another account with an e-mail that doesn't exist and it works fine. This account, with my legit e-mail, is broken. Had the same problem with the demo. Crossing my fingers for a fix.

maybe this is a solution. but some people have activated their limited edition key and now cant login with this gamesas account into crysis 2. I have this problem and i will not buy a new limited edition.
