what can I say.. loads of unfortunate things happened with Crysis 2..

If you insist on having your "desired" username (which you already have registered on one e-mail here) on your new account, you can actually change your e-mail in a non-obvious way.

You do it through the reset password option. I did it from my @hotmail.com to now my @gmail.com. BUT FIRST I created an account in-game with the @gmail.com, then the e-mail change and the two are now connected.
Seemingly there are two databases, one for the site, one for the registered in-game accounts. It's silly, but once you make it work (hopefully like I did above), there's no problem with it.

I had to register a new e-mail, because the game has evidently detected that my hotmail.com is in use in-game..

I do however find it funny with the "missing links" here on this website.
Exhibit A: The pre-order limited edition code - where do we redeem it? It wasn't until some dude wrote "you must go to http://www.gamesas.com/redeemcode" that I personally found out how to do it.

Exhibit B: Add a payment way. No obvious way either, until I saw someone saying "you must go to http://www.mycryis.com/addcard".

A few odd things, I'd say!

But it works now and I'm thrilled by Crysis 2.
Sorry for all you peeps out there who still can't enjoy the game..

Feel free to try out my solution above and msg me if there's any progress.
N.B. If you have your redeemed code on your current account (which won't let you login to crysis 2 the game), then I'm not sure how things work, if it's transferable! I changed my e-mail BEFORE I added my code, and I'm very glad I did.

There's still some screw-up around the forums.. I'm now having two usernames on the same e-mail (darthlazze & pwnchap). I for once decided that my I'd leave my preferred nickname alone (darthlazze) and just go with Pwnchap..
But that's for people like me who have multiple usernames they prefer in-game!

well i have this log in problem at least once a week ,if not more often. i can play for 3 or 4 days(some times 3 or 4 hours log off ,come back NO connection ) then the connection goes out again. i reboot all the modems ,routers,pc's restart everything and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. one of the things that has worked in the past was deleting the download manager and reloading it,seems like every time they do an update it screws things up for me

I (of course) had this same issue and her is what I've done to fix it.
I somehow ended up on EA's website and there is a link to request someone call you back (it said this would happen within a minute but took 25, no biggie since I've had the game 2 weeks without being able to log on or play MP), anyway after haggling with front line support, explaining that I have pumped in 4 different email account and that non had recieved an email back with the particulars, she suggested I create an additional amail account on gmail because her gmail account worked, blah blah blah, I explained there is no way all four of my accounts have gamesas blocked, blah blah ..., anyway when I said this is unexceptable and she said if I wasn't willing to create and try a 5th email there was nothing she could do, I asked for the boss, here is were thing started to work. He knew how to send password reset emails to all of my email accounts, two of them recieved these emails and I was in business. Now once I fixed that, in order to log in from C2 I have to change my username (haven't tried changing it back), also clear out your browser completely cookies, blah blah, anyway all works now

Hey Crytek

I have an idea, would another approch instead of getting the e-mails and accounts to sync would it be worth putting in a patch a way to link 2 accounts with a randomly generated number like when you have to verfiy and e-mail acount. This generated series could then be copied into a box on the gamesas website and then use this to link accounts? Just if you need sum other idea?

Bought the game months ago, thought let's give it a try again. Still can't login, I'm dumping it in the garbage bin and WILL download any upcoming Crytek game illegal for stealing my money.

I thought Crytek was one of the only good company's left over out there but I'm seriously dissapointed in you guys.

this is unacceptable, I pay $50 for a game just for the multiplayer, and it turns out I can't even play it? I want my money back.

Add another one to the list.

I bought mine retail so there is not going to be a refund from Steam or EA coming my way. Apparently PC gamers get the shaft when they feel like returning a game because it won't work as the cd key is "used".

About as used as a 4x4 car with the back wheels locked.

----------------------------------
Fail to log in in game.

Log in @ gamesas.com not fully functional. I cannot edit profile to add a nickname or anything. Used the username as it appears on the site if I log in.

If I click anywhere it says "You must be logged in..."

Clicking Home shows me as logged in. Logging out and logging back in does nothing.

New game. New key. No multiplayer.

Gamespy, the company that says handles your log in info, no longer supports those services. Why are they still in charge according to in-game info?

Attempts to use: EA ID, Gamespy ID, gamesas ID, EA Support, have all been futile.

Sent emails to: contact@crytek.com | No response |

4 hours with EA Support: Result: send an email to contact@crytek.com

Have tried all the various ghetto-fixes and official fixes (Cry-Tom's and others) that are suggested. None work.
----------------------------------

This is... beyond sad.

If you release another game you can rest assured I won't be convincing anyone to buy it and Crytek shall be a "Buyer Beware" developer from now on. You have made Obsidian look like Blizzard.

When is this going to be fixed. I have been avoiding creating a new account like a lot of others had to do, may give it a shot to see if I can actually play online.

People I've found a solution ... You must create a new acc in Crysis 2 ... with the same data as gamesas ... it has worked perfectly for me and I've even got the bonus share of the limited edition
believe me it works ... try it;)

Say that works...

How about those of us that have the CD Key tied to the "main" account email?
eg: mainemail@gmail.com = origin account

Will making a new gamesas account with another email and using the CD Key from Origin not cause more problems later? Or does that just work like different profiles like in BadCo2 that you can have a bunch of different soldiers.

(Sad that Crytek has not proposed this solution if it works)

Maybe this will help - I too had the same problem. Finally decided to stop trying using IE9, and switched to Firefox. This worked so that I could login to my account using original name and info that I've had for some time.
