Looks like Blacklight has found the issue.

Some accounts are not being linked to the ingame accounts.

I've also noticed that I have a "new" PM every time I log into this forum, and it's the same one. When I deleted it, I had -1 new messages.

Something is very screwed up.

Blacklight - When you log into the forums, do you use your email or your username?
When you log into the game, do you use your email or your gamesas username?
Is your gamesas email and username the same as your gamespy email/username?

I don't think that the option is only for beta testers.

Enable the option for everyone and it works right ?

But its still strange that I had the exact same problem during beta I had to create a new account everytime I closed the game

Well managing 5 accounts to level 10 ^^

This problem could be deadly for the next crysis part if it is not solved at the next hours.
I would rather wait another month and buy this game without such problems!!

I use following data to login :

Forums : Username
In-Game : Username

My gamesas password isn't the same as my Gamespy Account.

The truth is that I didnt even make a gamespy account.
If the gamespy account is linked with gamesas then yeah otherwise I don't have one.

Blacklight - can you go to gamespy.com and see if you can log in there with your username and password you login here?

I wonder if they Xreg new accounts to gamespy, but they didn't link old accounts correctly. If you can log into gamespy with your mycrsis ID and password I'm willing to bet this is the issue.

Could it be that the Login Server is still linked to the Beta Server ?

That would make sense that I can login as I was a beta tester and used the steam beta.
And NO I cannot login because I use steam.
I got the Crysis 2 DVD and didnt get it via steam only the demo. During Beta I already had the problem.

IF you can login then I probaly got the solution

Steam updates the login servers so it works correctly in-game with release version.
That means the in-game login server isn't correct.
I don't know how its set up so maybe im totally wrong ^^

I also got that problem. gamesas account doesn't work ingame.

Can I please have some help? My username contains a space, so I cannot possibly log in to Crysis 2. Can my name please be changed or allow me to use a space? My copy of the limited edition just arrived and straight after installing I am unable to login, just like the demo.

Any insight from the team? Maybe Sam?

Try with a underscore

There was another user with the same problem and I think one of the supporters fixed that.

Either he changed only the username of the user with that problem or he made a underscore getting known as a space.

Any idea how 2 log in?

That would be fine, and I have a gamespy account but I have this code for 'bonus content' and I want it to go to the right account and not some secondary one I created just to get around a broken login.

This should be the very top priority! PLEASE FIX!

1. Create a new gamespy account http://www.gamespy.com
2. Fill everything out but make sure that the E-Mail is the same as your gamesas Account
3. If the username is already given nevermind try another one dont need to be exactly same.

4. Reply here if you were able to create a new account with the same E-Mail as your gamesas Account.
5. Try to login with your username and password as you normally do

IF the above instructions are actually fixing the login problem then the login server are for sure messed up.


Note: After creating a new account please check if you got the option In-Game Synchronization just to let me know

It is funny to see that this problem happen in the demo, and it is still not fixed...

I see this still isn't fixed... guess I will be returning the game to the store.. sigh

Difference to the bug I had in the demo: I'm getting an error message now, but I still can't login with my first (or second) account, only the third one (with fakemail, I don't want to use that one for the original game of course) does work.

And captain the nickname isnt important. just use any nickname.

The important point is that the email is the same as in the gamesas account.
