i did exactly as you wrote but when i use the same e-mail it says that theres already an account with that e-mail.

same problem here. unfortunately i redeemed my limited edition code before i tried it in crysis 2... hope there is a fix soon!

So, about the connectivity issue I am having now, I can play multiplayer of Bad Company 2, Black Ops, DOTA or whatever. I really don't think this is about my internet connection or my firewall setting! Fix this ****!!!!!!

BTW, I also redeemed my Limited Edition code before I tried to login, would I still be able to get a full refund for this piece of crap?

I can't login to Crysis 2 because my nickname starts with a number, is that suppose to be like that? if so why are you allowing people to register to gamesas with nicknames that start with a number if they won't work in Crysis 2?

Make a new acc, or register on the GameSpy site. That will work.

so now i realize what Limited Edition stands for, you pay for the full game, but you only get to play the singleplayer part.

i didn't because i had the same problems in the demo as i'm having now.

btw. i've tried to reset all passwords for my accounts at IGN, Gamespy and gamesas. i tried all 3 different nicknames with all 3 different passwords. i switched them around, but nothing helped.
i guess i have to create a new account with a fake address to go with it, since none of my accounts with valid data work . . .

it's getting rather frustrating. especially if you try to be proud of the "Made in Germany"-seal . . . =/

I downloaded the demo and wanted to create a account, said my email was in use so i reset the password. Cant login in the game since this site says my username is my email and I cant change username (didnt get to choose)

To everyone having the issue "Internet connection problem" with your gamesas account:
I bought yesterday my Limited Edition and was SO frustrated it didn't work that I found a solution that (at least for me) works (Windows 7 solution - could work with other OSs too but not sure):
Right click your internet connection and click "Status" and then in the pop up window under "Activities" click "Properties". In the new window go under the "Shares" tab and DE-ACTIVATE ICS (Internet Connection Sharing).

For me worked, for REAL!

I ask myself why they did release the anti cheat patch before the ppl can play mp!?!?! I′m still can′t log into mp! WTF?

I basically got told by the restore page that I was logged in and my username is gamesas. That is obviously incorrect.

I had initially created this account with this name and my email address back in the open beta. I was never able to log in through the game, though I was able to log in through the site. Note, the same email and name here are mine on Gamespy from an account there made ages ago.

Around 4 days ago I tried the delete account option in the hopes I could start over, but that left me with a functioning forum account and no ability to reregister with my username and email.

Hope this helps you diagnose whatever's gone awry with this. Let em know by PM if you need any additional information.

Same here, which shows you that the problem is the stupid gamesas servers not the game itself.

Funny thing is you can log in with my username, and I can log in with my email (this one displays your email as your username), and you can have different passwords for both (along with avatars etc). This obviously indicates that the data has been split somewhere in the gamesas system, and the whole "emails as usernames" problem is linked to the "cannot log into Crysis 2" problem.

Which is exactly what I asked Cry Tom and Adam to have the developers/webtechs look at. Unfortunately I haven't heard anything back at all, even though this should likely be very simple to fix.

Cry-Tom: Your page there didn't do me any good. Despite having even gone back to double-check the password on Gamespy's site, it still says it can't log me in.

I tried using the nickname recovery link and it says my Crysis 2 user name is gamesas. That is not correct as far as I can tell.

I use the same nick for both gamesas.com and GameSpy.com but I used different passwords and emails so I changed both so they both use the same password and email address now. I was always able to log into the game with my GameSpy.com user name and password. I can still log in after I made the changes but I am not sure which I am logging in from at the moment. I do know that my limited edition content is not available to me though. At least I can play the game.

Not sure if that helps you at all Cry-Tom but that’s sort of where I am at the moment.
