Hi, i am playing on xbox one and i have not scrapped my stuff at the settlement, like i have been reading in other posts.
I want to make more light at the settlement and i do have all the needed items to complete it.
My line (at the top right of the screen) isn't even half full.
So i do not understand why i can't build anything anymore. (I have also tried to build something else, to be sure i was not just 1 item)
I hope someone can tell me how to build more at this settlement (county crossing).

When you try to build a light.. look at what it takes to build the item. If you have greyed out (slightly darker) item in list then you should see an option down below to "search" that will put a magnifying glass icon next to the lacking material. I am going to say at a guess ... Copper..

You need the materials to be able to build the item.

Failing this.. Try going to the work bench and activating build mode from there.. Failing that fast travel else where then come back. Thats what will cover any small glitches. Otherwise idk. If you can bring up build mode then you should be able to build. if you have the materials.

Failing all that try saving game then restarting and just hope that wont become a frequently needed fix solution..

also last edit here- you may have the stuff at other settlements but not here.. You may want to set up a supply line. Good luck mate!

But i have all the items / materials that i need, i also check what i need and if idon't have it at that settlement, then i go and get it from one of the others and i also have supply lines allready.
I also tried to fast travel and reloaded mysavefiles, but nothing works.

I also have another problem at another settlement, oberland station.
There i can build /select an item, but i can not get the item on the ground, it hangs about 1 meter above the ground and i an not lower it. There is one place where i can lower some items, at the hill, but not every item will succeed with this method.

These problems are not to be solved by myself, i do not know what to do about it.

You may need a rank in the science perk for some lights or spotlights. As for buildings hovering on hills you can build a foundation which i think will level the ground. They're in the wood tab I believe, possibly under misc, and do cost concrete.
