Yes, dont do the main quest. Only a few of my characters are ever even worthy or interested in grand scheme type things.

ya dont know much about elder scrolls do you shadow ?you can pretty much ignore the main quest. in morrowind i still have yet to even start the main quest its been 3 years :celebration: the best thing about this series is you dont have to do the main quest if you do not want to.so feel free to decide you dont give a damn about the main quest i know i will .unless i am required to do at least part of the main quest to unlock dragon shouts.

Yes, you can be a female....I don't know people keep wondering about this because not only did they confirm it, they also have never had a main TES game that you couldn't choose your gender.

This.

um...in oblivion you have to, no matter what, save Cyrodiil and in the end become Sheogorath

Your point has been proven invalid

LOL, no, you dont. you can effectively say "thanks for the trinket" and walk away, never going to Kvatch. not to mention, I have no idea what becoming Sheogorath has to do with saving Cyrodiil.

"do you want to be dragonborn ALL THE TIME?"

Nope, I only want to be dragonborn 9 to 5 while I'm on the clock, and be non-dragonborn with my drink in the local tavern otherwise.

...what? Have you even played Oblivion? Or Morrowind?
You don't "have" to do anything. You can choose to ignore the main quest completely and irrevocably.
Your point has been proven invalid, incoherent, flat out wrong, and laughable.

Because the MQ is (usually) only one part of a large game.

No its not. Since there's plenty to do outside of the main quest, not to mention the almost limitless possibilities of RPing.
