You can choose to not do the main quest, but you'll still be the Dragonborn.

This is The Elder Scrolls, you can play as a girl of any of the ten races. Being dragonborn isn't a choice, though.

Judging by the trailer I'm pretty sure you have to be a human. And wear that armor. And use only those weapons. And visit only that one town and that one snowy peak. And kill only one dragon.

Point taken, anyone? :)

1: Yes, you can be a female.
2: No, you cannot "not" be a Dragonborn, you ARE a Dragonborn, you were born with the soul of a Dragon. That's the point of the story. Can you choose to ignore the main quest? Yes, but you are still "Dragonborn". You can just choose to RP-ignore it.

Closest thing to not being dragonborn will probably be not doing the main quest (which to be fair is usually pretty possible)

There were lots of cities and towns shown, though. The problem is you're forced to teleport at random between them while very epic music plays in the background.

Yes. You can be either a male or female. If you have played any previous BGS titles, this is a standard.

No. You will have to be Dragonborn, as it is part of the main story and pull for the game. Will you have to fight a dragon all the time? No. You can cook/blacksmith/chop wood/etc.

Of course you can be a woman. You've been able to be a woman in EVERY TES game except Redguard, where you didn't have a choice of character.

You can "not" be a Dragonborn if you just progress the story far enough to be able to roam freely, then just not continue the main quest. The same way you could avoid stopping the Oblivion Crisis and avoid being Nerevarine.

YOU CAN BE A [censored]NG WOMAN!!!!!!!!!!

Stop screaming at her. It's not nice to swear at her either.

Yes, Shadowpuppet, it's been confirmed we'll be able to play as women. We'll be Dragonborn but I'm sure we don't have to stick with the main quest all the time. The Dragons, on the other hand, won't care if we're on the main quest at all...they'll be after us. :)

He means since you assumed you couldn't be a girl since there were none in the trailer, you can only wear that armor since that's the only armor in the trailer.

Yes, you can be a female....I don't know people keep wondering about this because not only did they confirm it, they also have never had a main TES game that you couldn't choose your gender.
